My huskylock 905 is jamming, I sent it for repairs and it sewed great for about 10 minutes then just jammed again. The repairer has offered to refund my money but that doesn't solve my problem. He thinks it may have something to do with needing oil inside somewhere. Any suggestions about where I should oil it as the only dealer is some distance away and it can take 3-4 weeks to get the machine back due to his heavy workloadMy huskylock 905 is jamming, I sent it for repairs and it sewed great for about 10 minutes then just jammed again. Make sure you have threaded the machine from right to left, it sounds like the needle thread is trapped under the lower looper thread and cannot form a stitch.........start the threading over from scratch like this:
Lower Looper
Upper Looper
Left Needle
Right Needle
Is there a diagram for how to thread on the inside of the door ?
Follow that slowly and carefully to make sure you have not missed any thread guides on the way, as each one needs to be followed through to ensure correct tension and thread progression.
If you are certain that all threaded correctly, did you have a fabric jam and pulled it loose ? If so, the timing may well be affected.
I have re-threaded my machine and that didn't help. I haven't gotten the surger to start sewing due to the error message that the upper knike needs tobe lowered (which it is). I am trying to do a cover stitch, I have it threaded properly and I lowered the knife. It is also in the "R" rolled hem position, as my guide instructs, but still, I close all the covers and it beeps that the upper knife needs to be lowered! Unfortunately, I couldn't find a specific manual for the Dial and Sew 750 sewing machine. However, I can give you some general instructions on how to use a sewing machine that may help you get started:
Threading the machine: Follow the threading guide and thread the machine correctly. Make sure that the presser foot is raised when threading the machine so that the thread can be properly tensioned.
Winding the bobbin: Place the thread spool on the spool pin and wind the thread onto the bobbin by following the instructions in your manual. Make sure to cut the thread once it's wound.
Installing the bobbin: Open the bobbin case and place the bobbin inside it, making sure the thread is coming off the bobbin in the correct direction. Then, pull the thread through the slit in the bobbin case and hold onto it.
Adjusting the stitch length and width: Depending on the fabric you're working with, you may need to adjust the stitch length and width. The stitch length controls how far apart each stitch is, while the stitch width controls the width of the stitch. The controls for adjusting these settings will be on your machine, typically on the front or side of the machine.
Sewing a straight stitch: Practice sewing a straight stitch by lining up the fabric with the edge of the presser foot and slowly pressing the foot pedal. Keep your hands on the fabric, guiding it through the machine. Be sure to sew at a consistent speed to maintain even stitches.
Using additional stitches: Many machines have a variety of stitches you can choose from. Consult your manual to learn how to select different stitches and adjust the length and width settings.
Finishing your sewing: Once you've finished sewing, cut the threads and remove the fabric from the machine. You may also need to clean the machine and oil it, depending on the manufacturer's recommendations.
Remember to always consult your manual for specific instructions on how to use your particular machine. Good luck with your new sewing machine!
Probably due to incorrect threading or else one of the needles are bent. I had the same problem and it was the threading and the tension.frustrating as all get out.
Is there power to the machine? Will the needle move? Did you switch the bobbin winder off? (Even if you think you have, try it again.) Is the machine clean and properly threaded? Can you use the handwheel to raise the bobbin thread? Did you hold the bottom and top threads together behind the presser foot when starting the seam? Is the needle new and right way around and fully up in the needle clamp? Can you sew on paper, but not fabric? Did you drop the presser foot?
Some more information would really help. (So would a complete model number!)
Unthread your machine and set the tension to 4.5. rethread your machine up to the needle and then put the presser foot down. If the thread pulls hard, your machine is threaded right if it pulls easily, the thread is not thru the tension wheel correctly.
Rule of thumb:: loops on the top, problem on the bottom.
loops on the bottom, problem on the top.
Practice and practice some more! Use the same fabric and interfacing as your project and a NEW needle (the correct needle) This is for the Sears Kenmore 385 automatic button hole maker. Make sure you pull the bobbin thread through the Guide Block - it is that simple. Make sure you pull your thread to the back of the machine though the presser foot slot - the correct presser foot. Account for both thread tails before starting to sew. Keep thread tails to the back of the machine 4-5", insert fabric under presser foot keeping thread tails clear. Mark button hole and sew.
It sounds as though the thread is jumping out of the tension assembly. The next time this happens, do not raise the presser foot before you do the following.Cut the thread above the needle and pull on it.If it is working properly there will be tension on it.If it is not working properly, the thread will pull through very easily. If the thread is coming out of the tension , either it isn't threaded correctly or you may need to wrap the thread around the bobbin winder guide to keep it from coming out.If you wrap it around the bobbin winder guide reduce the tension to around 2 , 3 or even less. Hope this helps. sewman7
If you have the machine threaded correctly, and are absolutely sure. New needles installed and it still does not sew, you most definitely have a timing problem. You should take to a qualified service center to be properly timed.
I have the same problem and i think that i may have sone something to the timings any help would be grateful
