I have a panasonic VDR-D100 and lost the CD's that came with it. I am tying to download ImageMixer 3 for Panasonic, but can't find it. I am only able to find an a program to update the original one. Is there anyplace I can download the program from?
If Panasonic provided the full version for download, that would be the equivalent of software piracy. The company that creates IM3 is called Pixela - their full version is different than that which comes with the camcorder and is about $100. If you are past 30 days, you would have to purchase it from Panasonic Parts for about $35. However, you do not need the software to edit your video. There are other ways of importing and editing your video.

First of all guys i have the same problem right now and about to figure the solution ....
*.mod type format is depending on a codec called mpeg2 so if u simply download an mpeg2 codec u can search for on www.videohelp.com
then copy the movie files on the computer that cannot be read and rename from .mod to .mpg .... then u will able to see it or to convert it simply
I had the same problem of a missing Imagemixer 3 CD for my
Panasonic VDR-D250GN so I couldn't download video to my PC.
Also some Camera DVDs would not finalise in the camera.
I found that InterVideo WinDVD would read and display on my PC even DVDs that had not been finalised, but still I could not download the video content for editing.
I then found that the camera disks (finalised or not), could be copied using Nero Vision on a Toshiba laptop and then, when burned to normal DVD would play on a normal DVD player.
Using an Analog Capture card, or as in my case a Pinnacle Dazzle unit, it was then possible to capture video from the DVD
player into Pinnacle Studio (or AVS Video Capture or similar) and carry out the editing and production of the final video DVD.
I hope that this helps as it saved the day for me !

I took some footage and now want to capture on my MAC but can't seem to capture video. nothing happens. I have the USB cable  connected to my computer and to my camcorder and opened i-movie but nothing happens! i never received any CD or any type of software with the Panasonic mini VDR-D100. I've tried to download the image software off the Panasonic website but get an error message. does anyone have any success in capturing or transferring footage from their camcorder to their MAC or PC?

I bought the panasonic vdr-0230 for what I thought was a good deal at circuit city. It was an open box return and had the alternate dvd studio software that can edit video, but cannot copy it to computer like Imagemixer 3 can. Acording to my operating instructions it was supposed to come with it. I tried everything to get it to work, then finally realized that it was missing software and that was why nothing worked. I tried to pirate this software as a last resort and cant even find it... then as a super-last resort I tried to find it somewhere to buy. Still no luck. If anyone here ever finds it, let me know. I am also trying to import video from my panasonic VDR-D100 video camera. I can't believe that this video camera does not have the capability to do this or did not come with the necessary software to enable this. I can shoot video fine but i need to capture it (import) the video to my MAC and or PC to edit and am unable to do this. do you have a solution? Help!
