Insignia NS-PDP50 Plasma TV - Remote Sensor failure

This morning, Jan 1 2010, neither the Insignia remote nor the Directv remote works with the TV. Cannot turn on/off, mute, volume, menu, etc. Both remotes worked fine last night. The remote sensor was not dirty, but cleaned it anyway. Still both remotes do not work. All the buttons on the side of the TV work for on/off, volume, menu, input selection, etc. Any ideas? A Year 2010 problem perhaps? Thanks!

Change batteries.Reboot everythings.Tv unplug,replug couple mins later.Ur Directv box,push off/on for new update software.After that sould work.Rate me after u done this.

Insignia NS-PDP50 Plasma tv HDMI inputs are inoperative
First of all, make sure that the hdmi BLOCK setting is correct. This prohibits both hdmi inputs and the DVI from working. I didn't even know they existed so I replaced the YSUS board and then I found the settings were my issue all along. If the settings are correct then the most likely culprit is the YSUS board part number: BR36223601. It is a compatible card for your TV. There are several suitable subs for this board and it is a snap to replace. I found a like new board that works better than my original board for only $25.00. The heck with those rip offs for prices up to nearly $300... Good Luck.

Insignia ns-pdp50 plasma. pop of death, audio but no video
I suspect that your supply has gone bad. You will need to find the service manual for voltage measurements. If you want to get replacement boards many can be found on ebay or you can check www.shopjimmy.com they stock boards for many units and I have had no problems.

I purchased this hdtv new from Best Buy in February 2008. Last week a crackling sound began to develop and now the sound has gone completely, although the picture is fine.
Insignia T.V. 50" Model; NS-PDP50, Plasma T.V.

T.V. comes on, there is sound but no picture.
T.V. is les than 18 months old. We use the T.V. when we come to our Condo in Daytona Beach for vacation, so it hasn't been used very much.
