Can't store a one-touch number

I have a KX T7630AL model. I have previously programmed the one-touch button for various numbers, but this time it won't let me do it. I have gone through the steps indicated in the Quick Reference Guide for the KX-T7667, namely, PROGRAM/ONE-TOUCH button/2/the mobile number/AUTO DIAL STORE button/. It give me a message: Program No?> What am I doing wrong? Please help me, it's driving me nuts.

Panasonic KX-T7730, we have a 824 phone system and cordless handsets (kx-tg1711) we cannot make outgoing calls on these handests but can take incoming calls and can transfer calls. how do we programme

  • Locate the program and auto-store button on your telephone. You will be using these to customize many of the features on your KX-T7730. The program button is used to enter or exit programming.

  • 2

Program your outgoing line preference, i.e., the line you prefer to seize when you go off hook. Press "Program" "1" "1" "store" for no line. Press "Program" "1" "2" "Store" for an idle outside line. Press "Program" "1" "3" "Outside Line Number" "Store" for an assigned outside line. The outside line number will be a single or double-digit number that is set through your phone system.

  • 3

Program your incoming line preference, i.e., the line you prefer to answer when you go off hook. Press "Program" "2" "1 "Store" for no line. Press "Program "2" "2" "Store" for ringing line. Press "Program" "3" "Outside Line Number" "Store" for an assigned outside line.

  • 4

Program your flexible CO buttons. These are the inner row of 12 lighted buttons. Your outside lines need to be programmed to these--you can choose any of these 12 buttons in any order. Press "Program" "CO Button" "0" "Outside Line Number" "Store." The outside line number will be a single or double-digit number that is set through your phone system.

  • 5

Program any other unused flexible CO buttons for an extension number or any frequently dialed phone number. Press "Program" "CO button" "1" "Extension Number" "Store" or "Program" "CO Button" "2" "9 + Phone Number" "Store". A "9" must be entered at the beginning of a phone number to tell your phone system to seize an outside line before dialing, e.g., "9-1-212-555-1234."

  • 6

Locate the programmable feature buttons (the row of 12 solid buttons on the right). These buttons are basically one-touch buttons that can be set for extension numbers or phone numbers. Press "Program" "(PF) Button" "Extension Number" "Store" or "Program" "(PF) Button" "9 + Phone Number" "Store." Remember to press "Program" again to exit programming.

  • 7

Locate your "FWD/DND" button. This button is used for setting "Call Forward" or "Do Not Disturb" on your telephone. To set call forwarding, go "off-hook" either by lifting the receiver or pressing speakerphone. Make sure you go to intercom and not an outside line. To forward all calls, go off-hook, press "FWD/DND" "1" "extension number" (the extension number that you wish to forward all your calls to) "#". After you hear a confirmation tone, place the receiver on-hook. The steps to set call forwarding for busy/no answer are the same as above, except you will press "2" in place of "1". To cancel call forwarding, press "0" in place of "1".

  • 8

Program "Do Not Disturb," which stops your phone from ringing--any callers will just hear a DND tone. To program, go off-hook, press "Program" "4" "#" on-hook, to set. Press "0" instead of "4" to cancel.

  • 9

Locate the message button--this works in coordination with your message light at the top right of your telephone. If the light is lit, press "message" to hear a message left to you either by another extension or a voice mail system. The message button can only be programmed as a message or one-touch button. To program as a message, press "Program" "Message" "3" "Store." To program as a one-touch, press "Program" "Message" "1" "Extension Number" or "Program" "Message: "2" "9 + phone number."

  • 10

Return your KX-T7730 to its default settings by pressing "Program" "#" "*" "Store."

Cannot store numbers for One-touch dialing.

    I can.

A lot depends on where you're trying to store these numbers and how you get an outside line. In my system, I dial "9" on the intercom and it gives me any available outside line. Also, IIRC a 7453 has 24 buttons with LED's on them. So, the Pana trick is the digit "2". Try this: PROGRAM 99, touch a button with an LED, and dial 2 + 9 + your number and STORE. The "2" tells the system to use the button as a "one touch" button. In other phones, the "F" buttons (ones without lights) already assume the "2" so it's programmed with just the access code "9" and the number.

How do I program a phone number to the one touch buttons on a Panasonic KX-T7730 phone?

It depends on what you get when you dial "9" on the intercom. If you get an outside line, then the 12 right side buttons on your phone can be programmed for one touch dialing like this:
On an idle phone, press PROGRAM a button and dial 9 plus the number and STORE. You can program more than one button by just pressing button numbers and STORE. Exit programming by picking up the handset and dropping it back down.

If you want a specific line, you may be able to dial the specific 8x code to access a line directly, or you can go into system programming and delete the open lines in program 400. Disabling would be the best, because if your 8x line is busy, you can't make the call with the auto dial button.

How to find previous call in phone no.?

Assuming you have Caller ID and an 824 system, you ought to look in the manual. You need to set up two buttons on the left side of the phone for CID-Indication and CID Selection (PROGRAM, Button, 96 and 97 STORE). We pick the top two buttons and store them in that order.

The small problem, is that you can't find BACK the numbers, but it will start recording the common numbers (last 300) from the time you do it until you get the 301'st call, then it will overwrite. (Chech your manual). Mine starts on page 158.

HOW TO PROGRAM ONE TOUCH DIALLING FOR KX-T7730 WITH CO BUTTONS ONLY ON THE RIGHT?

So that we're on the same page, a 7730 has PF bottons on the right and "CO" buttons on the left. If you have a different phone, like a TA-308xx or a Euro phone that isn't offered in the U.S., then it may only have a single row of buttons.

Programming is the same. If the button is a CO button (with a light), then your one touch requres a "2" in front of it to speed dial a nunber and a "9" or outside line access code to dial an outside number. So, to call 212-555-1212 you press PROGRAM the CO button, 292125551212 STORE. An inside number is stored under the CO button with a "1" plus the extension number.

A PF button already has the assumed "2", so you would just dial 92125551212 in the example above.

Panasonic KX-T7730- assigning speed dialing/one touch. I tried to press prog button and the one touch button..but it gives me an error message "not stored". How to solve this? I have 12 buttons to assign...

It says "Not Stored" because you haven't stored anything in it. There are 12 buttons on the left side with lights and 12 buttons for feature dialing on the right. If you want to monitor extensions, the buttons on the left are the ones to use. If you want to store speed dial numbers and feature codes use the ones on the right.

Left button programming. Press PROGRAM and the button. For extensions, dial 1+ext and STORE. For CO's, press 0+line number, for inside codes press 2+code, for outside number press 2+9+number, all followed by STORE.

Right button programming. For inside codes dial the code, for outside number press 9+number followed by STORE.

Note that you could also dial "8x" or "80x" in place of "9" for specific line access. Also, you can store extension speed dial numbers on the right, you just won't get a light indication when they're busy.
