I have Technics SC-DV290 audio system.
I would like to lay it flat as apposed to having it standing. Can I get an extension for the ribbon cable as it is not long enough for my desired configuration.

You will never find those connectors, as they come with the ribbon cable, which is long discontinued. Rather than that approach, take the easy route. Just cut the ribbon in any place that you need the extension, add in your new ribbon cable, and heat shrink each and ever wire.
Cut the ribbon in the middle and use connecting block to and wire.. better still go to maplins and buy a length of ribbon cable and lengthen it, the connectors on the end of original cable are easy to seperate and its a simple put the cable in and snap together to splice new cable in.
Dont what ever you do try this.it makes the unit sound bad HISSS!!, also if you mess up your connections just once after doing this BOOM Crackle no more sound!!. Trust me i know, DURRrr!

I'm currently working on a solution fot this problem and will post my results as soon as I succeed. I have got the ribbon cable but having trouble getting terminal that matches the back of the system.
