I've a new WF 1907 LCD monitor. Having a problem installing its driver. Turn on the PC and monitor and right away the Monotor displays a No VGA Signal then goes into Sleep Mode. Why does the monitor not see the VGA signal and how can I keep it from going into Sleep Mode long enough to install the diver. No manual with the WF 1907 on what the front panel controls do. The PC works fine with other LCD and CRT type monitors.
My friend just purchase this monitor yesterday. When she plugged it in to the back of the tower she received the same prompt u have mentioned. I was able to repair it because she simply did not realize that I had installed a new graphics card into her pc a few months ago. When u do this, you have to hook your monitor into the area where the new graphics card was installed. You can not plug your monitor into the same onboard card that u have previously plugged your monitor into.
Let me know, if by chance, u did install a new graphics card.
Hope this was helpful :)

I can't install the dirver for the monitor. The error "Access Denied" is displayed. The error is displayed whether I install from the CD or search for it on the web. I can't tell whether the access problem is on my computer or something the firewall is doing.
My friend just purchased this monitor yesterday, & when she hooked it up she received the same prompt. I was able to get it working because she simply did not realize that I installed a new graphics card in her system last month. When u do this, u can not plug iyour new monitor in to the onboard graphics card that you usually have your monitor plugged into. Did u by chance, install a new graphics card? If so, unplug monitor cable from back of tower and now plug in to the new card. There should be another place where you can hook in your new monitor.

I found a solution. On a new system with OEM Vista Premium, I was getting an "Access Denied" message. Suspecting resistance from the tight security on Vista, I dropped my firewall and disabled the Norton virus protection. The driver installed next try. This also enabled me to install an Office 2000 update. Part of the problem has to do with excessive security and part with the fact that the Vista Administrator Group does not come with Administrator privileges! (Try going into User Management and change your User Type to "Administrator". Exit and go in again and Surprise! you are back to being a "General User". With Norton, you can disable internet protection for short periods of time, after which it resets. Microsoft and Norton seem to think that Vista users are mostly pretty stupid, and withhold implementation of useful security management on home computers. I'm going to upgrade to Vista Business as soon as I can.
I have the same problem with my computer which is a windows vista. My computer goes into sleepmode constantly.
i have had a video card just put in...its plugged in corectly and it still comes up with no signal...going to sleep....how do i fix this ?
monitor can't come off sleep mode
who on earth an we call for help? I have an IBM think pad and the same problem installing hpw1907 moitor with going to sleep...
With the VGA it goes to sleep mode. With the DVI cable the screen shows up for 2 seconds and goes away. I hooked up the computer to another monitor and it works fine. I had the 1907 working for 9 months until it crapped the bed today.
