Nokia 6630 problem

1. Switch off your Nokia phone
2. Now Press following key sequence *#7370# or *#7780#
3. Enter Default lock code is 12345.
4. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.
5. Wait for message 'Format it

2 - Don't bother as to what is displayed on your Nokia 6630.
3 - Compose #pw+CODE+1#.
4 - The Nokia 6630 would then display the message "SIM Restriction Off" and will be unlocked!

Note :For Nokia 6630 mobile phones locked to the network Fido or Rogers in Canada follow these instructions :
1 - Switch on your Nokia 6630 without any sim card.
2 - Don't bother as to what is displayed on your Nokia 6630.

The letter p appears if you press the button star(*) three times quickly
The letter w appears if you press the button star(*) four times quickly
The symbol + appears if you press the button star(*) two times quickly
The CODE you need to enter is the unique unlock code for your Nokia 6630

sounds like you've ot a dodgy phone or battery. Does the new battery have the new Nokia hologram on it? If not then it's probably a cheap far-eastern knock-off.

Also, you can switch off 3G access (depending on the firmware in your phone, has to be a couple of versions old or newer). Being connected to 3G drains your battery hard.

Go to Menu > Tools > Settings > Network, and the first option should be Network Mode. Switch that to GSM, reboot the phone and it will not search for WCDMA access anymore.

This could be virus problem, if it is, you will need to reset the phone, it has nothing to do with the operating system of your phone.

It could also be that the battery terminals of your phone is corrode that is why it is running your battery down.

I suggest you check and change the battery terminal as well.

Hi! This may sound weird but have you tried checking if the sim holder is loose? Maybe the sim is not touching the terminals on the phone.

Hard Format it, It doesnt require Lock Code.

Turn off ur device. Press 3 buttons, Green (Call), * , and 3 Simultaneously and then Switch on the Device holding the 3 buttons still. . .dont leave it for 3 mins or so. Without MMC

And Format MMC in Card Reader.

i too have the sam problem with my nokia 6630 . its not a good cell phone i have to say . the problem u said is generic for all nokia 6630 . when u try to dial from phone book it dosent get called while u try to dial that number from keypad call goes . this is common for 6630 . any way i ahve sold it out thanks god
