Can't pair to iphone 3g

Hi, the iPhone 3G definitely does work with bluetooth. In fact, I'm talking on a bluetooth headset with my iPhone 3G right now.

You have to put both your Southern Telecom Emerson Bluetooth Headsetand the iPhone in "pairing mode".

On your iPhone, click the Menu button, tap the Settings icon, tap the General icon, and then tap the Bluetooth icon. Make sure that 'Bluetooth' is set to "ON" and not "OFF". As long as you have this screen up, your iPhone is in pairing mode.

Turn your Southern Telecom Emerson Bluetooth Headset off and wait a few seconds. On your Southern Telecom Emerson Bluetooth Headset, press and hold and Answer/End button for Five Seconds, until a solid blue light comes on, which places the device in Bluetooth discoverable mode.

Now that both devices are 'discoverable', the Southern Telecom Emerson Bluetooth Headset will show up on that Bluetooth screen on your iPhone. Be patient as it might take a minute to appear. Tap on the Southern Telecom Emerson Bluetooth Headsetin the list on your iPhone, and then it will ask you for a passkey. The passkey is "0000" (without the quotes). After you enter the passkey, the Southern Telecom Emerson Bluetooth Headset will show up on the list with the word "Paired" next to it.

Now you're paired! Incoming calls will automatically be passed to your headset as long as your iPhone can find it nearby.

Good luck.

I cannot get my motorola H700 to sync with my iPhone 3g. Bluetooth won't go into pairing mode

On your phone, make sure bluetooth is turned on (settings, general).

While your phone is in discovery mode, turn your bluetooth device on and put it in discovery mode (usually you have to hold the power button for 7-10 seconds).

Your phone will find the device, and you will be prompted to enter the devises PIN number (often 0-0-0-0). Your phone should pair with the device then.

My iPhone 3G does not discover my Motorola H500.

Try this link. It solved my issue www.scribd.com/doc/280088/motorola-h500-bluetooth-earpiece-manual. Basically what you need to do is power the earpiece off. Make sure that your IPhone is not currently attempting to discover bluetooth devices (i.e. Bluetooth is OFF). Hold the On button on your earpiece (it has the symbol of a phone on it) for 6-10 seconds. The light on the earpiece remains lit. Now your earpiece is in discovery mode. On your IPhone, go to Settings, General, Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth ON. Now your phone and your earpiece are both in discovery mode. When you see "Headset" listed, select it and enter the password "0000". Your IPhone is now paired with your H500 headset.

Iphone and headset

Is this the first time you're pairing iPhone and jawbone or it's been working before?
If this is the first time,
1. Go to settings-general-bluetooth and turn on the bluetooth on your iPhone 2. Press and hold the button above the LED light until the LED light flashes Red and White 3. Go to your iPhone and click on Jawbone and it should connect.
If it's been working before:
1. Make sure Jawbone is fully charged. 2. Press and hold the button below the LED until white light blinks 3. Go to iPhone make sure bluetooth is on press Jawbone to connect
If this procedure fails try the to follow the First Time Pairing Instruction

Hope this works for you.

Pairing headset

you need to have the manual for hour jawbone headset and follow those instructions.  You have to put the headset in "pairing mode" and then once you do that (follow headset instructions) it's simple to just go to settings, bluetooth and tell iphone to search for the headset.
Instead of headset issues, we're having car speaker phone issues.  I have the iphone paired with a motorola bluetooth car speaker, and it works when you are making calls.  However when a call comes in, the speaker doesn't pick up, the phone just rings as normal.  That's a problem as you need to be hands free in our state, and if a cop happens to see you, you're in for it
