Hi!
Try to check the lens lever. it may have been in low battery level since your last usage before it went out of control. But be sure to have it check byt a qqualified technician for better diagnose.

I have a DC3 B&H 10 Mega Pixel digital camera that won't turn on even new batteries. What could be the problem?

When you say 'new batteries' are you using re-chargeable NiMH batteries, or standard store-bought ones ? You may find that by using re-chargeable batteries, sufficient power is provided for the camera to work - this is why so many cameras use proprietary rechargeable batteries.

How do i fix my kodak easyshare ZD8612is when wont turn on even with batteries?

Where did you get these new batteries?
I hope you know you can't use alkaline or NiMH rechargeable batteries.
Only Lithium batteries can be used, because they do have a higher voltage.
If you are sure you have the correct batteries, check if the contacts are clean and shiny. Clean contacts always with a dry cloth or cotton swabs. Never use anything sharp in or close to a camera.
the picture down here is just to show you can't use alkaline batteries. There are also rechargeable lithium batteries for your Kodak.

I have a Canon powershot A1100is dig camera. When I try to turn it on, it reads need new batteries. even if I change the batteries. Sometimes it wont even turn on. Help

Do you using Ni-MH batteries? Canon cameras judge the battery is low power by the real-time voltage of the batteries. And the voltage of Ni-MH batteries are lower than Li-ion ones, so the camera will notice low power even there are new batteries. Try Li-ion ones and see is anything help. best wishes!!

Will not turn on even with new batteries

Here are the steps for the no power problem: 1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher). 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera 3. Turn on your camera without the memory card. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty)

My camera will not turn on. I bought a new battery and even tried charging it. there has never been any damage to it.

try cleaning the battery posts both in the camera and on the new battery a finger mark on the battery terminal posts can stop a camera working but do fully charge that battery before you use it

Ixus 75 battery discharges overnight even if the camera is turned off.

That's it, the battery's defective, it's not the camera...unless you've tried another (new) battery...

Vivicam 8400

I have a ViviCam 8400 and have the same problem UNLESS I buy Duracell Power Pix or Energizer Titanium batteries. These cost more than the regular grade AA batteries, but when I used brand new regular batteries, the camera would turn on for 2 seconds then turn right off. Titanium or Power Pix batteries make the camera work fine. And, because they are made for digital media, they do allow you to use the camera for longer periods of time.

Camera won't turn on.

Mine had the same problem.  I consulted http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/ and it said to use rechargeable batteries only.  The entry claimed that alkaline batteries, even if they're brand new, don't have sufficient power for more than a few pictures and may not even be powerful enough to turn the camera on.  I was dubious, but I tried putting in a pair of fully charged rechargeables and, by Gum, the camera was suddenly working again.  So before junking the camera, try investing 20 bucks in a battery charger and a pair of AA rechargeables and see if that fixes it.
