What does code Sd mean?

The Sd code indicates too much drag on the basket during the spin cycle. Since you just changed the bearings, make sure that everything from the motor to the basket hub is correctly aligned. Make sure that the drive basket hub doesn't have any worn splines. Check that the drain hose doesn't have any restrictions and that there are no clogs in the hose or the drain pump. There could also be a problem with the pressostat or the control board. I'd suggest you also check for any wires that got knocked loose or broken when you replaced the bearings.

Usually the Sd code indicates there was too much detergent in the washer. The drain pump and motor are under strain from the excess bubbles. Super heavy towels can give the same error.

SD is code for suds. Try running the machine empty to clear the suds. Use only HE Detergent. HE stands for high efficiency (strictly speaking it is low sudsing.) Price should be equal to non he liquids detergents.

Error code 5d/Sd means suds have been detected. To solve this problem you have to take the bottom front panel apart and then clean the drain filter pump assembly completely, make sure the washer is unplugged before working on it. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Sd is the error code for suds lock. If suds are detected continuously by the pressure switch during the
drain or spin phases, the washer will fill 4 liters of water and during 5 minutes the unit will rest without tumbling, the water will be drained and it will try to spin or drain again. The SD code indicates the possibility of too much detergent being used. Run a rinse and spin cycle to remove detergent residue. Then run a normal cycle without detergent.
Items to check if it is occurring at the end of the cycle would be to check the drain line and waste outlet for plugging or kinks and check the wiring harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch and CCU (Central Control Unit). It may be necessary to check and clean the drain pump filter.

"sd" means that the unit has a sudsing issue, usually. Sometimes a slightly plugged hose to the pressure switch can cause the same fault code. Let it sit to allow any suds to break down and try to drain it out with no tub movement, like in a spin cycle to keep it from sudsing up again. You can add several cups of vinegar as well to help get rid of the suds.

If too much detergent was used:
– Run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle.
– Run a Normal cycle without adding any detergent.
This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump,pressure switch and Central Control Unit(CCU).
4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check drain pump.
7. Check the pressure switch.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test.

the "SD" code is for suds, you are using too much detergent, you generally only need about three teaspoons of detergent, more for heavily soiled or larger loads, the HE detergent is a high efficiency detergent that is low sudsing, the wrong detergent can also affect the quality of the spin cycle.

I work for an appliance company in the service department, and what this really means is that you could have a suds build up in your machine, or that you used too much soap on this particular cycle. If starting over does not work, you can buy a product called washer magic at almost any store and it will clean your machine out. Also, running vinegar through the machine will make any suds dissapate.
