What cables do i need to connect my ps3 to my sony surround sound recevier and then to my plasma tv... i have 2 HDMI cables but does not work do i need a optical cable as well?
Do you wan the suround sound to play sound for what the tv is displaying or just the ps3
for just ps3
connect hdmi to ps3 and tv
connect optical to ps3 and suround sound
change video settings to hdmi
change sound settings to optical
it asks to set settings automatically you have tyo doo it manually
if you want to play every thing that tv displays then
connect ps3 to tv with hdmi
connect suround sound with hdmi to tv
(this might not work)
if it dont work then
connect ps3 to tv with hdmi
and your tv should have sound out or something along those lines it should be two phono plugs in the back of the tv connect that to the suround sound
