On MOST microwave ovens, you just have to remove the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. The following link explains how to replace the door handle:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3696942-microwave_oven_door_handle_replacement

If the model number is correct, and you haven't purchased a replacement handle yet, the part numbers are WB15X10119 and WB15X10120. There are two pieces with the door handle on this model oven. Replacements may be purchased at the websites listed in the link I provided.

If you have any questions, or if your model number is different than the one listed, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Help fixing a kitchenaid microwave oven/hood combo door handle

The door handles on most appliances, like outside cars & truck handles, are secured with screws from inside the door.
You will need to take the door completely apart to tighten the screws. This may be a very hard job, as it needs to be reassembled as well. God bless your efforts.

Need to replace handle on GE Spacesaver Microwave J VM130K 004.

I looked up the $39.99 part ! (almost as much as a new microwave)
If you want to replace the handle, get the new handle and see how the new handle goes on and you can determine how to take off the old handle.

Door handle replacement

You remove door latch (nr 3 on diagram) first, then you unscrew the screw nr .8 and remove handle (nr.7).

How to Replace Broken Handle

Sorry but the chat system seems slow and hard to work with.

Page 28 & 29 of the service manual tell you how to remove the door and take it apart to replace the handle.

The service manual is here.

And you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Broken door handle, have part but can't put it on.

Thats disgusting mate! The doors are either clip together, plastics or if stainless as per photo, it would require opening the case, removal of door then prising off the fascia trim to get to the handles.

I'd ring them back up, that is not a user servicable part as it will bugger the finish trying to separate the doort.

Best of luck

Getting door frame apart to install new handle

If you're replacing the handle, then order the choke cover..It's the piece on the inside of the door that covers the handle screws. No matter how carefull you are, it is almost guaranteed to break. If you break it, then you have one, and if not, send it back. DO NOT OPERATE MICRO WITHOUT CHOKE COVER.

Bottom screw on handle loose

All my micros had the screw go through the handle into the micro...no need to take door apart, just screw it back in. Why would you need to take the door apart?
