If not a separate fuse, then the hi-voltage inverter or magnatron have likely failed. The first can be $130. The second $45.

The microwave isn't heating/cooking on any setting but the turntable, light is working. What should I check before calling a repairman?

There is nothing more you can do, you have verified everything is working except it is not heating the food. The next step is have the repairman come in to isolate the cause.

My delonghi 800w microwave oven works but does not heat up food

If your handy with getting the cover off and looking inside... check the obvious.
I suspect :
fuse
thermister
relay
If both microwave and Heating elements dont work, then I will assume the magnetron is ok, ans we are dealing with a high voltage issue... and you will need at best... a volt meter and or neon troublelight...
moust appliances have a simple schematic inside... I would start with the heating element first... trace wiring back to circuit board... usually one side of the heating element is connected to the white wire (neutral) and live (Hot) side is controlled thru the circuit board... so finding the neutral should be easy... then trace with neon light or voltmeter...

I know easy for me to say... but with everything else working... it doesnt seem to be the microprocessor that controlls the unit...

Platter spin, Vent Works, when using the microwave

check the high voltage diode inside the unit, its connected to one leg of the high voltage capacitor and the other side to the metal shell of the unit,if this opens you don't get the high D.C. voltage necessary to operate the magnetron,be careful, the capacitor can store up to 2100 v.a.c.so discharge it first to be safe

The microwave runs but doesn't cook the food. It made sort of vibrating noise and stopped heating. Everything else seems to be working.

HI. this is called Magnetron failure. you will need to replace this failed device. it is responsible for the heating of the contents.

MICROWAVE OVEN DOESN'T HEAT. LIGHTS, FAN, TURNTABLE, TIMER ALL WO

If everything else works on the microwave, but it simply does not heat, the magnetron is a logical guess. There are also three other components that make up the High Voltage network: HV transformer, HV Capacitor and HV Diode. The magnetron, however usually is the component that fails more commonly. If the model number you have this listed under is correct, you can view all these components at appliancepartspros.com. Just type in your model number and look under the "Cavity" section. The magnetron runs around $86. If you decide to repair this, please let me know. A microwave oven is not an appliance for a DIY beginner to start with. The High Voltage network has potentials of 3000 to 4000 volts and safety is important. If this is not your model number, post back with the correct info. I hope this helps you.

Once I place food in to get re-heated, I noticed that my microwave did not heat the food, even though everything else worked...can you help

time for a new one. the microwave unit is dead, no the oven. the microwave unit is the heart of the oven. so, if that goes, everything else goes.

Microwave turns on, but no heat or turntable movement

The problem is that the magnatron is not getting power. Chance is that if could be a bolwn fuse inside the unit. If the fuse don't fix it then that leaves the charging diode, capacitor or the magnatron, or high voltage xformer of which without technical epertize I would not recomend attempting to replace. good luck
