Only used my Royal whirlpool bathtub about three times
Only used my whirlpool bathtub about three times since we lived in this house. I was trying to fill it to clean but I can't get any hot water? Can you tell me what the problem might be?
Re: Only used my Royal whirlpool bathtub about three...
My jetted tub will not work, and it used to work just fine. Nothing happens when i push the button to turn it on. Could this be a switch problem? Also do not hear the motor doing anything when button is pushed. Dou you think I just need to get a new pump??

There are several options for cleaning the piping on a jetted bathtub.
The reason you have a residue on the bathtub surface when you are done bathing is because there is bacteria built up in the plumbing of the jetted tub. In order to remove that and reduce the amount of "yucky stuff" coming into the tub when using it, we recommend a regular usage of a jet cleaning product about once every couple of months
Here is a link to the cleaning products I can find right now. There may be other out there that I am not aware of but I do know these products work well in all jetted bathtubs.

You have a bad neumatic switch. Or a small hole in the air line. Try pushing the button fast and hard to see if it will stay on. if so , it is a hole in the tube. if not it is your neumatic switch
get a bb gun an some rat traps and some raid, if you live in the country this going to happen find out where they are coming in at and close it off and unless you built your house out of "nuts" it shouldnt be problem to keep such retarded animals at bay
First you want to trace and check if the unit is tripping the circuit breaker in the fuse panel of the main house. Next you want to take the top two bolts of the control box(within the body front of the tub) and remove them. pull the cover downward towards the ground. Next you want to trun a hairdryer from an extension cord(make sure your feet are well guarded from the wet surface should this occur. Using the hairdryer, dry all of the exposed components of the box and it's housing. This is precisely what a hottub repair reprentative would charge you $100-$150 to do, not including travel time. See I just saved you more than you'll pay for this info...lol. Put the screws back in and close up the body of the tub. You should be good to go. Thank you, Dana
It could be the motor, but don't rule out the switch. If there is a small plastic tube that exits the back of the pump/motor, there is a switch attached to this tube. The switch is avaliable online and can be installed after removing the pump from under the tub so that there is room to work on it. To check the pump, remove the switch and tape the two wires together, quickly plug the pump in and them unplug it to see if the pump comes on. Do not run the pump for more than a second or two as pump seal damage may result.
yes jet trim can be changed. Go to this link and match up what you have to what is shown online or email us a photo of the items and we can find them for you. each trim piece usually unthreads counter clockwise.
call whirlpool or go to local bath and kitchen shop or local plumbing store. they should be able to give a price and tell you how to change all of the items.
Do you have hot water to the rest of the house?
