My desktop in Windows Vista has been "invaded" by a document I previously scanned. The document fills the entire destop with the normal icons partly obliterated. How do I correct this? I tried Systems Restore, but that did not work.

It is just set as the Desktop Picture... Right Click middle of the Desktop and Left Click Personalize... change it there :) Or if you have a Fav Photo... Right Click the Photo and Set as Desktop Background...

Cant find scanned document on my Aspire how do i find?

Going with it's an Acer Aspire 5315 Notebook PC, which according to Acer Support comes with Windows XP (Home or Pro), or several basic versions of Windows Vista,

http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/notebook/0000/Acer/Aspire5315/Aspire5315sp2.shtml

WinXP:
1) Desktop screen

2) My Documents; Click on Start, then on My Documents

3) Downloads; Click on Start, then on My Documents. DOUBLE-click on Downloads.

Win Vista:
1) Desktop screen

2) Documents; Click on the Windows logo button, then on Documents

3) Downloads; Click on the Windows logo button, then on Documents. Then click on Downloads.

Anyway you can try scanning a document again, and see where scanned files go? Then delete the scanned file.
Look at the window, and what is stated at the top. This is where the scanned file will go.

After login desktop doesn't appear im using

Hello,

It seems you have a virus, where you only see the mouse pointer and no desktop icons nor start bar ?
Please update anti-virus database then run virus scan.

If you are sure you do NOT have a virus, try to do a system restore to a point when you know the laptop was working with desktop available.

For Windows Vista/7, press on start then type in SYSTEM RESTORE, double-click on the icon that comes up, choose "Restore previous point".

I want to scan a document to the computer using my HP psc 1315. When i press the scan button, it runs up like it is going to make a copy or print a document. What am I doing wrong?

hi Heims,
The best way to do a scan with this psc is to do it from the software on your Desktop.
When you installed the printer the software will have put an icon on your desktop such as HP Solutions or similar. If you double click this icon it will bring up a panel where you can select to scan a picture or document etc.
Do the scan from this panel and it should all follow from there.
If you don't have an icon for HP on your desktop, open Programmes, find the HP printer programme and double click it to open the panel.
You can also click on the program and drag it to your desktop which will create an icon on your destop for you.
Good luck
