I have a Westinghouse LTV-32w6 HD TV bought in 2006. Almost from the beginning the sound will intermittantly cut out for 3-5 seconds. Sometimes it will be fine for hours, sometimes it will cut out 2-4 times in an hour. It seems to do this whether using straight cable or TIVOed programs or DVDs. Any ideas?

green screen on hdmi is normally a defective hdmi cable. 1st try a different device , like a dvd player. if same problem try dif cable. if it still does not work you have a defective signal pcb otherwise known as a main pcb.

Try running it with the back open, it can be the LCD controller board is overheat, http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/LTV-32W3HD/

You may have problem with the T-C0N board, worst case will be the main logic board, try cooling the T-CON board with electronics freeze spray to see if the problem will go away, you can get it from Radio Shack.

It can be the main board is bad and not sending the signal to turn on the rest of the power supplies, or the power supply is bad and not supplying the correct voltages to the main board, so you need to inspect the two boards.
