I have strongly recommended that change your power supply with the same specification voltage and amp. I have installed so many GE DVR's most of DVR's restart when the power supply is not working properly or HDD have bad sectors. I also recommend use the scan disk on you HDD for proper checking of your HDD.

I am facing a same problem with nearly 3 Ge DVRs.. It automatically restarts after boot up... I have changed there power supplies and hardisks.. but the problem is same... i figured out when system goes in recording mode.. this will restart the DVR....

I have this same problem with mine and can't figure it out. I tested hard drives and their fine. Will a 2.5mm x 5.5mm power supply connector work the same as a 2.1mm x 5.5mm witch is what used on the GE DVMRe?

My DVMRE -16 constantly power cycling. It will boot up and run for about an hour then re-boot.
