My sony handy cam model DCR-TRV285E is not working with windows vista ultimate & asks for driver and also not install Picture package software by Pixilla company. Tell me what to do

Hi!

If your vista is ULTIMATE 64bit it wont work, and there are no drivers for that either, if you have vista ultimate 32bit then you vill find the drivers, manual and everything else there is about that handycam here:

Drivers!

I searched Sony's website and this is what came up with your camera model:

  • The drivers needed to connect most Sony® cameras and camcorders to a computer are already included in the Windows Vista and Windows XP operating systems. With these drivers, you should be able to connect and transfer files to a computer.
Note: If the your camera or camcorder is not recognized by the computer when connected, you may need an updated driver. Check the Updates tab below to see if any updated driver is available.
  • Starter and 64-bit versions of the Windows Vista and Windows XP operating systems are not supported

  • Most versions of XP and Vista are not 64-bit but you might be one of the few "unluckies"

Hope this helps you out a little.
