The bag of fertilizer should tell you on the back of the setting for your spreader. It will say, Scotts 3000, Greenway XXX, etc, with the setting for that particular product.

That model is still available very easily from lots of outlets including Amazon. The settings refer to a 'spread per square yard' and is translatable to any broadcast spreader.
Depends on the fertilizer you are going to use. There should be a table on the fertilizer bag showing the spreader and setting. If your spreader is not shown, select a spreader like yours for a setting. Watch how much coverage you get and adjust from there.
Does the product you are using list any Scotts AccuGreen spreader settings? If so, you can safely use the spreader settings listed for the Scotts AccuGreen. If your product does not list any spreader settings, please give Scotts a call at 866-465-5160.
I am sorry that neither spreader performed as they should have. This is very concerning to us, and we would like to get more information about the spreaders, if you still have 1 the manufacture date would be most helpful to us. Below is a list of spreader settings. You may want to call Scotts at 800-543-8873 and verify the product you are using is able to be used in a hand held spreader.
For fine grass seed (blue, rye, fescue) use setting 1
For coarser seed (tall fescue) use setting 2
For light fertilizer (Scotts fertilizers at a regular rate) use setting 3
For heavy fertilizer (Scotts fertilizers at a heavy setting) use setting 4
For pelletized fertilizer and ice melt products use setting 5
If the product you are planning to apply has a spreader setting for a Scotts SpeedyGreen, or specifially for the SpeedyGreen 3000; you can use that recommendation in your Scotts EdgeGuard DLX . If they do not have a suggested spreader setting for the SpeedyGreen or SpeedyGreen 3000, then this question would best be answered by calling Scotts directly at 1-800-543-8873.
