When I connect the moto razr v3 through a USB cable to the PC, a popup balloon comments that it was an "unknown device". in my despair too, I downloaded the mobile phone tools online, hoping that it'll also solve the problem but when the software undergoes initialization, it cannot detect the phone. I checked if there's something wrong with the cable and with the USB port, but nothing seems wrong with those.
I really hope you could help me so at least I can upload some of my files/pics and download some ringtones, wallpaper etc. in a more practical way. tnx!

No use.. i download for 4 hour and when i extract data it say data something is cannot extract

EUREKA got the solution to my own problems! through browsing on the forums in here and experimenting on the softwares.
download the MOTO RAZR V3 usb driver software (or your specific mobile phone model) from nodevice.com.
mine is from this link:http://www.nodevice.com/driver/MOTO_RAZR...
then download your MPT or mobile phone tools software online, search through yahoo and google in quotes.
plug in your phone through the usb cable (any brand of cable). the PC will pop the message "found new hardware" you browse the folder where you have saved your usb driver software you've just downloaded. then click next. woohoo!
afterwhich, as the PC have recognized the device. open your MPT software that you should have also installed on your PC after downloading them. the software will react to configure it to your device, if this part fails, click on (on the phone model thingy that should appear on your computer screen) MENU>SETUP>NEW PHONE then follow the instructions, it should automatically initialize your phone.

the driver download from nodevice.com wont work alone. you should also use the motorola pc suite.
