Very loww water pressure when taking a shower, I've changed the shower head, but, water pressure continues to be low. I've got moderate water pressure in the face bowl in the bathroom and good to moderate water pressure in kitchen sink. Could it be something other than water pressure in the shower???

It could be debris in the cartridge at the tap itself. Whther 2 cartidges or 1 , it wouldn't be uncommon for those to clog up as well, and it really doesn't take much to cause a decrease in flow. Turn water off to tap(s) and remove handles, then cartridges in behind with proper socket or wrench and inspect for debris inside hole cartridge came out of, as well as the cartridge.

Hot water pressure is weak. Shower head isn't clogged. Cold water pressure is good. How do I increase the hot water pressure?

Is the hot water pressure good at other fixtures in the house? I'm guessing your newer valves have a scolding adjustment that is set very low. Check the instructions that came with the valve assembly.

Why water drizzle when showering?

There can be various reason of water drizzle, the main reasons are:

1. Low water pressure, it's the main reason for water drizzling. Check the water pressure of your house and if it's loo low then fix it.

2. Rust in your shower head, if your shower heads is full of rust it can be a reason for water drizzling. Clean your shower head nicely to remove those.

Thanks.

Could be the pressure on the hot water flow is insufficient, you really need a 5/6 feet head of water from the shower head to the bottom of the storage tank for sufficient pressure.

Low water pressure from my shower.

You probably have a water flow reducer in the shower head. It is a rubber disk with a few holes in it. Just remove it and put the shower head back on. They are installed at the factory to save our environment. (Mine are all removed)

Have a shower only no tub. replaced both the hot and cold stems because shower was dripping and water pressure was low. Thought if I replaced the water pressure would return. Tightened the top nut before...

Take the shower head off and see if the pressure is better or the same. If it is the same then you will need too look up-stream for blockage in the water lines. If it is better then replace or clean out the holes in the shower head. It may also have a filter screen before the shower head.

Low water pressure from shower head with the shower head removed

If you have good pressure at the water faucet close to the shower and low at the shower then the shower valve needs rebuilt. If you have low pressure at all then start going down the line toward the water service coming into the house looking for where the low pressure starts in the distribution system and you should be able to isolate the problem.

Shower head

There is a California water saver on it that can be removed, just a little piece of plastic that covers the opening. Why do you have low pressure? Are you on city water? Well? Jet pump? Turn up the pressure cut off. Check it out.

Low shower head flow from Delta R1824 shower

Try exchanging the Delta head with one of the other shower heads you are happy with if you haven't already done so. No change in the flow means it's not in the head, and change means it is.

If it is in the head, since you are on a well and not a municiple water supply, you might consider removing the factory install flow controll device located just below the threaded area that mounts to the shower arm. These inserts can be a real bugger on some heads and each one is a little different than the last. The trusty nail often works well.

Your body sprays, I believe, are factory fixed at something like 2.2 gpm and non adjustable.

Also consider for a moment a garden hose with trigger spray head on it. When you squeeze the trigger the water will shoot out a certain maximum distance. If you were to take an ice pick and poke a hole in the hose, that maximum distance will be slightly reduced. The more holes in the hose the less the maximim distance. Correspondingly, the more holes you poke the less distance each hole will squirt because you have the same pressure and volume of water but more exit points.

A monitor has a flow rate of about 6 gpm at 85 psi which is pretty average for shower valves. If your other showers have only one exit point(i.e. one head) and the R1824 has 3 with the same pressure and volume, the garden hose illustration can also explain the volume change as well.
