Software when i connect the download cable to phone and computer ..it is not showing in the computer screen....some one told me there is a software to install....how to download that software?

For example, if you connect the phone before downloading and installing the software, the computer may not recognize your cell phone properly.
     
   • 3 Test the software and make sure everything is working properly. You should be able to pull up the software and upload all the pictures and videos on your telephone. Every cell phone manufacturer uses different software. While there isn't a single tutorial that will cover how to use every type available, most software comes with specific instructions and tutorials that will help you learn how to easily use the features available.

For your driver need, you may just install Nokia PC Suite, where it installs the driver and other necessary software, including the software needed for you to use the phone as an internet device.

just go to that link, install the software, and you are set. Please do not connect the USB data cable to the PC yet, until the software installation is finished. After all has been installed just plug the USB data cable in the PC and the phone, and follow the instructions on-screen.

So you didn't get a CD and a data cable when purchasing your phone?
Just google your phone's brand and model number to search and download the cd's content also called pc suite.

Once the software is downloaded, install the software.

While installing the software, it may be required to connect your phone to the computer using the data cable that come with your phone.

When the installation is completed, connect your phone with the computer using the data cable.
Now run the installed software on the computer and through it you can access your phone.

try downloading NOkia Connectivity Driver from Nokia's Website... Download and install it...Restart your computer and then connect your cellphone to the computer via Data Cable...

Mine is Motorola SLVR L6 but you might try this on your phone.

The Motorola SLVR L6 has a built-in media player, digital camera/video camera, Bluetooth connection and a removable microSD memory card. Since Motorola discontinued this phone, you can no longer download the software from the Cingular or Motorola website. Instead, you need to download it through the Mobile Action website. You will find updated software and driver downloads for the phone's handset manager and Bluetooth connections.

Instructions

1. Connect one end of the USB cable to your phone's USB port. Plug the other end into your computer's USB port.

2. Navigate to the Mobile Action website (see Resources). Locate the types of software that allow PC-to-mobile uploads.

3. Click the name of the software you want. A presentation should appear on your screen, allowing you to follow along while downloading the software.

4. Double-click the software installation on your desktop. Enter your full name, street address, phone number and email address to register with Motorola. Provide your cell phone account information, if necessary.

5. Follow installation instructions. Restart your computer for it to recognize the newly installed software.

Your phone has a mini-USB port so you can connect it to a computer to transfer data. Motorola Original USB data cables and supporting software are sold separately. Check your computer or hand-held device to determine the type of cable you need. To transfer data between your phone and computer, you must install the software included with the Motorola Original data kit. Have you been provided with cable and the CD software. If so then it is easy. Download the software from the CD in your computer. Then connect the cell phone with the USB cable to the computer. Now you can download the data from the computer and vice versa.

Kulminder wanted me to allow him to access my computer so as to help me,How could he help as the phone could not be detected by my pc.When i told him i was on a works computer and my boss would not allow him access he dissapeared in a flash.Hmmmmmmmm i wonder why.

You CAN connect it to windows vista using the cable, however my own LG Viewty won't transfer anything without the software installed on the PC, the PC can detect it but it won't show on My Computer.

You can try it, but i'd advise downloading the software from somewhere.
