If you have the mp3 songs on the memory card just open the location in memory card and try to rename the file by selecting the file and choose options and rename.

L700 model - want to change message tone which I

Hi buddy!! Samsung sgh-l700 also supports other message tones. But to utilize it you must convert the required tone into MIDI format. You can do this with this software- "MP3 to Ringtone Gold".

How can i add ringtones to my Samsung SCH-u340 it sends my ringtone but it gets another type of stuff like just talking email me [email protected]

So after working on this all night long, I've got it figured out!

Ok so first things first, I don't know about your phone but mine (at least with cricket) won't allow attachments on sms messages, only mms messages.

So you will need to make sure you can accept picture messages, with cricket you are supposed to be able to for free however, that wasn't the case for me, I had to sign up for a month but it's only $3 and I intend to get everything I want in the next week.

So once you know you can recieve picture messages (mms) you can then email yourself ringtones.. ok well it's not quite that simple...

First you can only receive a .mid file, so mp3's are out, at least if you send it to yourself with that format. You also can only accept files that are 113kb or less, so if it's bigger you will have to shrink it or shorten it. To shrink or shorten your MP3 PRIOR to changing the format, download switch at http://www.nch.com.au/switch/ Once you've downloaded it open or drag and drop the mp3 in the empty space. On the bottom left click on encoder options you want to change the constant bit rate to something that will help bring the file size down.. if it's just a tad too big like 125kb then select 112kb, if it's 400kb then select 48 or 56, just above that you can select where you would like it to be when you finish converting it, I like the desktop so I don't have to search for it. Then click on convert, you then find your new mp3 on your desktop (or where ever you chose) and check the properties to be sure it is 113kb or less, if not go back and adjust the bit rate again, or you can shorten your clip by downloading wavepad sound editor both programs are free.

Once your file is the right size, it's time to change the format.

To change the format without a converter you must open your folder options and scroll down and deselect *hide known file extensions. This way it will show the name.ext, you simply click on it to rename it and change it to name.mid Once this is done you can email it to your phone... my mms email is [email protected] I just add the audio as a file attachment.

Once your phone recieves the message it should begin playing when you open the message, if the audio doesnt play then it was in the wrong format, try again, otherwise press the options button, go down and select save as sound, then put in the name you want (if you want it changed) and click ok.

Now you can find it under the media/ melody gallery/ downloads.

Cannot access mp3 files on mp3 player

I had the exact same problem and solved it just now.

I removed the memory card from the phone and inserted in to my PC.

All of my music, videos and pics were in a folder I had created called 'mobile' on the memory card. That's what was causing the problem. The phone can open files only from specific pre-arranged folders. You can't change which folders it will search from the phone.

You have to CUT all of your files from their current folder, and PASTE them into the folders that the Samsung phone can recognize, i.e. pictures into images, mp3's into Music, etc.

My MP3 player is working brilliantly now. Hope this helps!

I cannot play few MP3 songs in my mobile. It gives a message as unsupported file. Please give me a solution for this.

I solved this problem by inserting my memory card that contained the Mp3 files on my computer.

Then I went and manually shortened all of the files names. There's a limit of 32 characters for file names on this phone.

After I did this, my phone can play every song!

Hope this helps..

Changing the message alert tone

Please have a look to your SGH-G600 manual, there is no option to add mp3 as ringtoon or message toon.

I hope this will be answer to your question.
