Hitachi tv no picture or sound.

The hitachi projection tv 53UWX10B screen is black with no sound when the tv is turned on.

I think it would likely work if you trimmed it evenly around the sides in order to maintain the central position. Focus may have to be adjusted but thats all.

You may have CRT Coolant on one the boards. LOOK very closely for shiny spot on any of the boards. WHY? Because you are saying the TV is having multiple problems. Let me know.

Good Day;

Some cable techs are good but too many are not.l So, if you have not solved this by now try this:

Unplug TV & box, wait 5 minutes plug both back in (reboot).
