I have a Canon MP 990 all-in-one and an iMac running snow leopard. I tried downloading an updated driver for OS 10.6, but am still unable to scan wirelessly. Keeps looking for a USB connection, which I don't have. Please help me sort this out. I have thousands of old photos and slides that I would like to archive. Thanks.

The MP990 should be able to do this with snow leopard. Make sure you are using the MP Navigator EX as the application to bring scans into the iMac.

For further information, go to this link. In the search box in the center of the screen, type "scan wireless to mac" and click the Search button. Review the various answers for details.

Have a canon mx700 printer. Its connected to a imac on snow leopard via usb. Ever since it was updated to new os version. It doesn't recognize the printer. I have searched online for the correct drivers...

First try a new USB cable and swapping ports. Make sure other USB devices work.

Software and drivers are here: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/pixma_mx_series/pixma_mx700#DriversAndSoftware (select OS from the drop-down menu then look for the notation of version 10.6). This site also has a firmware update for certain of these printers. Use the update with care, sometimes they will make a printer completely unusable.

I hope this helps.

I cannot use my AGFA SNAPSCAN 1236 with Snow Leopard

I had the same problem. Upgraded from G5 PowerPC Tiger OS to iMac Snow Leopard. Have a Snapscan 1236U (ScanWise) and got the same error message ("cannot find the current ColorSync System Profile"). Downloaded trial version of VueScan (www.hamrick.com) , scanner worked, so purchased the VueScan Professional Edition ($79.99) (Standard Version is $39.99). My scanner is now working GREAT!

Canon MP640 not responding to my mac

Did you install the software from the CD or did you download the driver? Are you using Snow Leopard?

If you have Snow Leopard and used the CD, you don't have the most recent drivers. Here is the link to the MP640 drivers. Remove the drivers currently on your imac and download and install from here, including the scanner driver and the MP Navigator (listed under Software).

Canon PIXMA MX870 Wireless Printer works with Snow Leopard OS?

The MX870 is compatible with Mac OS X, all versions. I think the CD that comes with the unit will have the Mac Snow Leopard drivers on it, but if not you will be able to download them here.

I have a cannon MP 160 printer/scanner. It does not work on a Mac

Uninstall all your drivers (and delete the preferences) and download the Mac drivers from this link. The drivers that came with your printer were developed before Snow Leopard came out.
