Sounds from turntable

I have the turntable hooked up to my iMac. I do not have the RCA cable hooked up. I set the software. I can hear the records playing from my computer, but I am also hearing sound from the actual turntable. I figured there would be chirps and scratchs like my old turntable, but I am hearing the actual song playing on the turntable. This can't be right.

There will be some feedback from the turntable, and this is totally normal. Ive actually heard the music from the needle itself, and is nothing to worry about

Have an RX_V371 that I use for cd's. Just bought Audio Technica turntable with phono preamp, thought I had it set up but almost no sound coming through?

There is no phono input on unit. If you wish to use turntable you willl need to buy a quality preamp, and appropriate cables.

I bought a vintage Noresco turntable and can't see a place to hook up cables to the tuner. I only see a plug and a ground wire.

If the receiver doesn't have a Phono input, you will need to turn on the Pre-Amp and connect the turntable to another input. Connect the Red and White RCA cables to the left and right audio inputs on the receiver. Connect the RCA cables to the audio outputs on the back of the turntable

Why won't both my turntables play out of my mixer?

I am guessing but it sounds like a gorse impedance mismatch. You should never connect two outputs together unless they are specifically designed for that. Since you are listing to mono why not send each output to the Base Amp the other to the cabinet. That should resolve the problem.

Why can't I get my turntable to sound right on my

Turn table? You mean like records? lol
The output of record players is different voltage than like cd players, etc...
Does your stereo have input for turntable or are you hooking it up to an extra rca input? I had mine hooked up wrong before and it did same thing.

Unwanted recording overlays

Hey black fender start person, I'm genuinely sorry for sounding patronising and 'of the applemac-fool-mockery crew'. The needle-on-the-record is acting as a wall mic. I don't know about the ez software, but I'm guessing there are default settings in there somewhere, in tools/options or suchlike.
Have a look at the mic settings you might be able to apply some pleasing preset.
good luck :)
