You will Have to press and hold the power button for some seconds. Then You release it when it turns off. Power it on and it will not freeze again, or you can connect it to the computer, copy and save/back up your songs, then you scan it for any virus and trash any virus you find on it, then you restore your music back onto it and power it on. This time it will not freeze again. make sure your music files are not too large. If not it might freeze again. And always scan it for viruses whenever you connect it to the computer.hope this information helped.
Your GoGear is freezing because there is an error in the operating system and can be fixed by resetting the device. Resetting the GoGear is similar to rebooting your computer. You will not lose any of the data uploaded to the device. To reset the GoGear, press the "Reset" button located on the left of the device. The screen will go blank for a few seconds and then turn back on.
If the GoGear freezes after uploading a file to the device or if one song or sound file freezes the device each time you play it, the file is likely corrupt and needs to be removed from the GoGear. Connect the GoGear to a computer and delete the file from the device.
Sounds like it's froze and needs to be reset. - Press to power on/off, enter menu, or hold 15 seconds to reset your Sansa. Or-To reset the sansa = Hold down power button for20 seconds.

Mine has froze a few times also, Remove the four screws on back cover and take out battery. wait just a little while and replace.... works for me ! Wish they would have put a reset button somewhere on player ( hummmm to easy..................
