Pgm error appears on face. can't open or close. also appears stuck on CD mode

moved you out cars, to home stereo rigs.
the users manuals shows age as 22 years old
sure it can be stuck, or 22 years of dust in the optics inside
it must be dismantled ,cleaned and tested.
we blow it out with shop air or Can-o-air, all optics and sensors.
loader wont close?>>> means the tray is stuck open?
no error message told here ,why skip that/??
using local controls or the remote per its manual.

Try turning key to each mode and press subtotal then cash. If it errors, turn to next mode and try again.

1. Uh, I think you already have a solution but the following may help someone else.
2. Ensure that the device is powered on.
3. Press the "Function" button (28/58) to set the unit to CD mode.
4. Press the "Open/Close" button (19/48) to open the CD drawer.
5. Insert a CD into the tray with the label side facing up.
6. Press the "Open/Close" button again to close the CD drawer.

If the above steps don't work, you can try the following:

1. Unplug the device from the power outlet.
2. Wait for a few minutes.
3. Plug the device back in.
4. Press the "Open/Close" button to see if the CD drawer opens.

Change the Flex cable that connects from main chassis to the front face plate. This is a common problem with Dual drop down face plates, since the flexible wires break and lose connection.

I'd say you have probably filled the not found file. To clear it, set the amount of records to zero and then back to 100 again. Can't remember the code for it, but it sounds like you have them there. Let me know if you get stuck.

im sorry to tell you but it will have to come out to be cleaned and if it reads bad cd on every one the lazer usualy burns out. where is where i have had good luck M&R
