Screen is lit but all the buttons are frozen and wont charge

fone fell if screen doesn't respond digitizer has gone bad, charger port also damaged I'd recommend getting a new device since it will cost alot to repair that

hold the power button for at least 8 seconds, worked a treat for me :)

Having gone a month without a response, I assume the suggested reset solved the problem.

Its the very middle button on your playstation remote. If its saying press the ps3 button on your control its possible your ps3 is not frozen but your ps3 remote has just turned off..

Press the very centre button and check the lights on the top of the joypad. Are any lights lit solid? Once the light comes on solid the controller is active. If these do not light youll need to charge your ps3 remote with the usb cable that came with the ps3.

Also if your ps3 remote is lit for number 2, hold down the ps button, very middle for about 5seconds. Should have an option for reassign controllers, select that and put your controller to number 1.

Try this: Press and hold the wake/sleep button and the home button simultaneously for ten seconds and the apple logo should appear on the screen. Release the buttons and it should work like normal. Hope this helps. If it still does not respond to touch, then your screen may have been damaged in some way and it will need to be replaced.

Try hitting the reset button. Its the small one on the left side. You might have to push it with a pen or something,

1. Hit the reset button on the back of the device - inside the serial connector.
2. Make sure the device is off and connect it to your computer via USB dock and connect the charging cable (green light should be on)
3. Hold down the power button until the device restarts.
4. The device should automatically connect to your computer.
5. Run TomTom HOME and check for any updates.
6. If there is no new application, try: www.tomtom.com/9091 <-- that will show you how to remove and then reinstall the application.
