The firmaware in the machine needs reloaded. You will need a canon service tech to reload system software. This will update the software.

Hi, you need to upgrade firmware from start. Download standby is message that appears when system is colapsed and when you want to upgrade firmware from service mode.

Your machine appears to think it's waiting for a file (like an update). Somehow it was put into download mode (only a canon tech would know how to). You need to have a canon technician to either reset the machine or if there is a legitimate problem put it into factory default.
It may be a hard drive error from my experience.
