When playing DVD on panasonic plasma TV, the color is black and white

Consult the owner manual for the player (and or try it on another set) as many players have settings that can cause B&W or a single color display for the image.

Panasonic DVD-S31 won't play sound

Did you change the audio cable, "just to rule out" If it won't work on the Tv or stereo, there probably is a audio processor problem, or a issue with the laser pickup assembly, to repair this kind of problem would not justify the cost.

Dvd stuck in machine will not play or open to remove movie

Hello,

there might be something hooking the disc tray that is prevent it from opening.

The solution to this problem now is to, get a screw driver, unscrew the screws on the player, open the player cover so that you can gain access to the disc stuck inside, remove the disc and check for what's preventing the player from ejecting.

Take care.

DVD won't play

Check whether it is a problem for that single dvd. If yes, it is the problem of that disc, not that of your player. If not, switch off the player and let it cool for a couple of hours. Then try again with another disc. You may find that working.

How do I hook up my dvd player and WII system to my Dynex 42 inch LDC flat panel tv so they are both in color, what inputs do I use ?

Allot depends on your DVD player and WII. Since the TV is a color one unless the movie your watching on the DVD player is B/W it will play in color, same with the WII. If your DVD player supports HDMI then select one of the HDMI ports on the TV (there are 3) same for the WII depending on what outputs it supports select one of the corresponding inputs on your TV. The user manual shows several options for various components and should be of some assistance in your connections.

DVD-S35 Panasonic - bandwidth information OSD

I have upgraded the firmware on my player and the problem disappeared. There is a "bitrate display" option in the Settings menu, but it didn't change anything when I tried it (before the upgrade). Now it isn't necessary.

Dvd color is off

Depending on how it is configured to your TV it could be high contrast with the TV. One thing you might want to try is replacing the video cable if you have a spare. If you are using an RF modulator and watch DVDs on Channel 3, you might want to replace the coax line between the box and the TV set.
