The impeller has become free of the shaft. There are two roll pins that hold the impeller to the shaft. The entire gearbox and shafts have to be removed to install new roll pins. Probably best left to a repair person.

I have a Toro two stage snow thrower that has an auger issue..left just spins as it want the right moves snow....how do I fix...the machine is 13 years old can't find any answers....help please.

The shaft has shier pins that break when an object gets caught in the auger. This prevents further damage. You will need to replace that pin. Make sure you stop the blower, unplug the spark plug before working on it. The pin holds the auger to the shaft. Turn the auger until you see the hole through the shaft and insert a new shier pin.

Snow blower runs and auger/ blade rotates but the wheels Anne not rotating. 2- stage Aries 5520. Not sure if the thrower piece is rotating. Any answers for getting wheel moving/ working

Most self propelled units have 2 belts. One for the auger, and one to power the wheels. Check the belts, and then check the drive assembly under the motor to see if it is engaging.

Snow blower will not throw snow far

I take it that you have a 2-stage snow blower, that is is has the auger blades and then the 2-stage impeller. The impeller blade is damaged <<OR>> the motor is to small to through the snow far. If you have a 5-horse engine and throwing heavy snow, the snow may not go as far as the light fluffy stuff.
A single stage snow thrower is not designed to throw snow far, just move it over a bit.

I have a honda ccr2450 and with the heavy snow today it clogged and now the auger doesnt seem to turn to speed and is slipping, not throwing snow etc, is this an easy fix. thanks carl

You have a two stage snow blower. The first stage in your auger and they are equipped with a safety shear pin. Consult your owners manual for proper pin or shear bolt replacement.

Snow thrower won't throw snow

the problem could be the snow is to heavy for the motor to keep up, if thats the case you may need to upgrade to a more powerful model or try not to overload it. take it a little slower so the motor can keep up. but try tightening the belt. with your pointer finger push down on the belt it should have about a half inch give, if it moves more than that its too loose and probably slipping under load
