We have a GE JKP15 oven that will not heat to temperature (350F) when first turned on. The oven will beep (temp confirmation) and the display will indicate 350F but the oven temp will only be at 220F (confirmed with a separate thermometer)and will not heat beyond this point. However, turning the oven off and on again quickly will show the oven at 220F. After the restart, the oven will heat up to 350F and then maintain the correct temperature.

Oven set to 350F, using type k thermocouple , omega, left reading 370F, right side reading 389F, noticed the cooling fan is not running, baking problems, too ho.

You will not get an even temperature if the circulating fan is not working.

You need to check the fan control circuit and find out why the fan is not coming on, possibly a failed switch relay?

JRP 15 oven showed 350F and gave preheat beeps. Frozen lasagna "cooked" 45 mins and was still almost frozen. Oven was warm inside, not hot. Bottom element glowed orange when I increased the temp setting...

The oven was obviously not heated to 350 even though this was the setting. There is a very simple proceedure to calibrate the oven. It is different on different makes of ovens. Your owners manual will give you the detail of how to reset yours. If the manual is not available, click on the following link. Hope this is helpful.

The Taylor oven thermometer you bought is decent at best. It is most likely the sensor inside the oven. Has your clock displayed any fault codes? F, followed by a number? Changing the sensor will probably correct the problem.
