Hi, I m using compaq presario v2000. i need audio driver,lan card driver, unfortunately i lost the driver cd provided along with the laptop.Can any one give a link where i can get these support free download.best regards.

First guess is you have the wrong driver but I am seeing others having this problem as well. Either that or you post to a ton of boards.

OK first correct chipset drivers. http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_630a_winxp2k_14.10.html

That would help audio drivers identify your audio card.

Next are the right audio drivers. The list includes other drivers you might need. Do not use the chipset or graphic drivers from this site as they are outdated.
