Hi , Just to clarify is your Sound Card that you are connecting it too , a 5.1 Channel Sound Card?? if not then that is the problem as it is a 5.1 Surround Sound System..Reason for it only coming out of 2 speakers when you connect it too an ipod , is the Green Cable Doesnt Comply with all the Speakers , you need a 5.1 CHannel Sound Card to connect all the Cables into.A 5.1 Channel Sound Card looks like this http://www.dclstore.co.uk/images/products/genius-soundmaker-value-5.1-channel-sound-card-16-bit-pci-31720009100-l.JPG

I hope this helped bud ,

A couple of things to think about. If the radio is new, then the speakers may be bad. If the radio is not new and purchased from someone else, the radio may be bad. You are making sure the volume is turned up right? You did use a harness when hooking the radio up right? That is something I strongly recommend.

My marine stereo doesn't work anymore...Can I hook up my i pod to my pontoon boat speakers?

Yes, but not directly... the I pod will not have enough power to run the speakers...you will still need to have a radio or other way of powering the speakers and then feed the I pod into that...

Control Pod for Companion 5 volume control non-functional

I had exact same problem today. I moved my speakers from one room to the next. When I plugged everything back, the mute/unmute worked but the volume control no longer worked.

I got it working now!! I powered down my computer and then unplugged the power to the speaker system. Then plugged in the power to the speaker system again. Powered on computer and all is good again!!

Hope this helps/

Control Pod for Bose Companion 5 speaker system

I had the same problem right out of the gate, the volume dial on my control pod for my Companion 5 wasn't working, however, the touch pad and LED worked. I called Bose customer service and was instructed to:

First, unplug the power directly at the back of the woofer while the unit was on;

Next, I was instructed to unplug the control pod, visually inspect for any damage/defect;

Finally, re-seat the control pod on the back of the woofer and then lastly plug the power cable back into the woofer.

It worked like a charm. I hope this is helpful!

Strange problems with Z-2300's

I'm having this same problem and have sort of solved it with a really wierd technique I found at Logitech. Evidently this problem is related to the control pod rather then the RCA jack. Try this:

Unplug the control pod from the subwoofer Turn off the main switch Turn the volume knob one full turn, tap the knob Repeat again (2 times) Replug the control pod Turn on the main switch and the control pod See what happens

I found that this got the speaker working finicky after it was almost totally useless. It seems to be cutting out randomly, but fidgeting with the control pod or it's connector jack fixes it. No clue what the deal is here, but your problem is identical to mine so take some time to screw around with these components with music running so you can hear if it suddenly works.

No Sound Now on Computer

Might be trivial, but try the volume controls, that little speaker icon on the Windows task bar.
