If this is a brand new memory card, the two things to do/check are:
- Make sure the camera supports 2GB of memory (manual should say that)
- Format the memory card - the manual should give detailed instructions of how to navigate through the menu and perform a format on the memory card
- If you need clarification, ask it in the comment box above.
- Better answers use proper spelling and grammar.
- Provide details, support with references or personal experience.

This is going to be due to your internal memory being full if this is an android phone. go to settings then applications then manage applications and then look and see if your bar at the bottom is full or close to full. If its full try to move some stuff to the sd-card by clicking that tab. If you cant move any to the sd card try clicking the "all" tab and sorting by size if there's one that taking up a lot of memory either clear the data or simply delete it. hope this helps.
Apparently, you have pics on the camera's internal memory. Your card won't work until those pics are gone. Here's how...with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert your card and it should work.
that's happened to me and i had to buy a new memory card and if those pics you lost where really important you should go back to the place where you bought the memory card and have them find them and print them and when you buy a new memory card try a different company
Did you take any pictures before you bought the card? If so, you have pics on the internal memory and that is what's full. You need to get rid of those in order for your card to work. Here's how...with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions. Then, you really should do the format thing with the new card, too. Then, it should work properly. Also, make sure the slide switch on the side of the card is in the unlocked position.
Here are the steps:
1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher). The batteries that was in your pack when bought are only test batteries and not rechargeble.
2. Clean the battery contacts.
a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth.
b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera
3. Turn on your camera without the memory card.

if your cam is using a sd card, the card could be locked, theres a little switch on the side of the card try using that and see wat happens. its tiny on one of the sides.
According to the instructions that came with the camera, it states that a maximum of 256 mb memory card is allowed. So, 1G amd 2G memory cards won't work. Like you, I bought a 2G memory card, getting the same message that the card was full so when I checked the manual, I saw my mistake. Live and Learn! I should have checked the manual BEFORE I bought this card. Now I have to go out and buy the 256 mb memory card (and I'll save the 2G card for a new camera that I hope to buy in the future).[email protected]
Not enough memory means your phone is too full of data IE. Pics, Themes, Contacts, Applications, Games, Old leftover files from sending via Bluetooth etc...
Do a clean up job. Get rid of all the trash.
The phone needs a certain amount of memory to function.
