I HAVE A DCS OVEN AND I USED THE SELF CLEANER ON IT ON SUNDAY NIGHT. WHEN I WOKE UP ON MONDAY MORNING THE CLEANING LIGHT WAS STILL ON EVEN THOUGH THE OVEN WAS COOLED DOWN. WHEN IT WOULDNT OPEN, I USED A...

Hi.

The Oven getting lock after self cleaning is not uncommon.

That is caused by the high temperature reached on self cleaning, that can jam the control board or damage the door lock or the temperature probe.

Try first tripping circuit breaker or disconnecting power cord for five minutes.
After restarting try the oven.
If the oven still does not work, then hold down the cancel button for ten seconds.

If still no luck, then the oven is faulty in consequence of the extreme temperature reached in self cleaning.

If the Oven has regular display, then faulty part is usually the temperature probe.

If oven has no display, then the control board may had been damaged.

I can understand what problems a faulty oven can be in this moment.

Try first the reset, if that does not work, ring the number listed at the end of the owners manual to see if today any technician is available.

A local technician could easily put back the oven to work, replacing the probe, the point is that it will be difficult to find a technician right now.

Let me know if the reset works.

Regards.

I have a frididare oven ple8389echthe top works the oven is giving me an f30 error what do i do

F30 is effectively a faulty temp probe.
The temp probe must be tested before replacement.
Testing is done using a mutimeter set on Ohms to read impedance on the temp probe terminals If reading resistance at room temperature returns less than 500 ohms, then replace the Sensor Probe.
If reading is more than 500 Ohms , then check or shorted Sensor Probe harness and eventually replace the wiring harness.
Model PLE8389ECH did not return anything, if model is PLES389ECH then here is the sensor probe :
Here is the probe for PLES389ECH : PS820208 for $39.
It is Part 37 on the left in the diagram below:

Have a kitchenaid superba part no. 4450786A with the probe indicator beeping for a temperature to be set. Prior to beeping started just used microwave to warm food; didn't need or use probe. What is...

Put the probe in the oven and beeping stopped. Left it in overnight and next morning took the probe out and there was no beeping. Have not heard beeping all day. Don't know why this worked but it did.
