I searched and searched for a fix and here was mine. The sensor wire was shorting out on the drip pan (which was not wet to the touch) above the compressor causing the alarm. I removed the clip and re-rigged it so the bare wire is not touching the sidewall but is positioned so that it could still sensor and alarm in an actual overfill.
