Registering again didn't work for me. I used the following steps
1. close the handset (long-press red button)
2. discconect the base unit from the power source
3. reconnect to the power source and long press the intercom (the only button on the base unit) for 5 seconds.
4. turn on the handset (long-press red button)
with 2 seconds and it will be connected again.

I had the same problem after some electrical work was carried out.....just re-register the handsets to the base station as per the users manual ...just takes a few seconds
Menu>advanced set>registration>pin>0000 (default)>menu......Done!

I have a CD130 Cordless TRIO. I often get "Searching" sign which somehow I am able to fix but now the display says" Unregistered". Obviously, I need to Register but I don't know how? Also it asks for a PIN Code! I donot have this as well!

Hi,
I recently purchased 3 pairs of the Philips CD130 phones from a car boot sale, however everytime i seem to connect the telephone wire to the base the display screen continues to display searching and i am unable to go beyond this point. I aslo do not know how to register or have a pin. Could you please help!!!

We recently purchased the CD130 Trio (CD1303S/79)
I have let the phone sit in the charger for the 24hrs as it says in the directions, its is now fully charged.
"as soon as we put the phone in the base it has done nothing but flash the word "SEARCHING" after another day I thought I had better try and sit down and work this out.
Looking at the User Manual
On the first page (Welcome Mode) it says to go to page 32 to set the Country.
Press (menu) and press the large centre button down until you reach "ADVANCE SET"
Press (menu) and press down to reach "COUNTRY SEL"
This is where the problem is....... I do not see "COUNTRY SEL" as an option in the ADVANCE SET
And I take it I can not configure the phone until this is set
Can you please help me?????????
After an electrical storm the handset is flashing 'SEARCHING'. I can't work out how to reset it.
