My console froze during a load of a ps1 game, won't restart.

My console froze during a load of a ps1 game(Crash team racing) from the playstation store. I had to take the power off to reboot it. I can select a user, but after that it freezes again. earlier i tried a default settings restore but never made it to the end. no error is given, what to do?

I couldnt do a system restore normally so this 'trick' was great

The easiest way to get an instructional booklet for Crash Tag Team Racing is to take your copy into a Gamestop and ask to switch it with another copy that has the booklet with it. Gamestop is very laid back and should have any issue doing this for you.

When I put certain ps1 games into the PS2 the controls don't work

Does the system work normally on ps2 games?
If it doesn't,then it sounds like the ports where you plug the controllers into is bad.try cleaning out the ports and try again.

Sorry =(.............well...i dont think that u can save it on a ps2 memory card........maybe if u put a ps1 memory card in the ps2........idk
