Having trouble programming Comcast remote to function with my Olevia 237T TV the codes listed on the remote manual does not work. The Comcast serviceman could not offer any solutions. The remote is functional with the cable box Scientific Atlanta but will not turn the TV on or off. I need 5 digit codes other than the ones provided in the Comcast manual. (11610 does not work either). Thanks for any help you can provide.

Olevia was never big enough to be given any codes by the cable companies or the box manufacturers. What I finally did was buy a Logitech Harmony remote online. The price range is pretty broad depending on the feature set you're looking for. But if you're fed up enough it will get the job done for anywhere from $40 to $100+.

I'm not sure there is a code for a Comcast remote. I just bought a Sony RM-VLZ620 for about $20 - it controls up to 8 devices and includes codes for Olevia and Comcast.

Inside the manual for the direct tv should be a list of codes for ALL brands of tv. You should look there first.

I was having the same problem with my 40" Proscan Tv. I had to go to Comcast and get the remote with the gray OK button instead of the red. I could program my DVD player with a 4 digit code so this remote worked when I put in the 4 digit code Proscan sent with the TV (0178). This was the only solution I could find . They do have the remotes with the gray button but you might have to be very persistant to get one with the codes for the rest of your electronics.

I think you are out of luck. None of the universal remotes recognize Olevia tvs. The manufacturer claims its because they are too new.

You need remote rc64 to control the Olevia 32 inch LCD. You can call Directv and order the remote. Use code 11610.
