My kids have a portable dvd player. you can not see the picture, just the outline of a picture. but it plays perfectly. you can hook it up to the tv and it plays. my question, should I change the screen, is it worth it? new ones can be less than $100.

You can try pushing the little black button at the top middle of the main part of the dvd player when it is open, where the screen folds down onto it. This has worked for us. Good luck.
You should have received a warranty with it take it back to the store you received it from and work things out

You can push the little black button (upper middle) where the top screen folds down on the bottom part (where you put the disc in) after you have opened it. This has worked for us.
