I just purchased a brand new, in the box Motorola V3m. After using it for less than a week the screen went white. I sent it to Motorola and they said the phone had water damage and was not eligible for repair. The phone DOES NOT have water damage. I'm stuck. Customer support at Motorola is a joke. thank you. beve

take it to a phone / repair shop for a diagnosis and quote then present that to the lawyer to get action from motorola

I had a friend who had a razor and it did the same thing, what she would do (and only sometimes this would work) is she would close it as fast and hard as she could and it would fix itself, but eventually it got bad enough to where she had to get a new phone...

Motorola Razor V3m not power ON

It seems like a damaged chip possibly rusted or if you didn't take out the battery, severe damage to the whole phone. You might be able to get it repaired for less instead of replaced. I am not sure if you can buy new parts, but you can probably find a new one on ebay with a broken screen or something like that, and use parts from both to make a new phone(Did the same with 3 broken PSP consoles) I hope this helps. If you have a hard time with the second option, you can find guides for disassembly and reassembly online.

Screen went to a blank white screen, no response at all

This is a V3M? This seems to be a common thing with these phones don't get me wrong they are nice ( I have a Pink one) but temperamental... You might have to take it to your provider and tell them you need a flash on the phone.. trust me they will know what you are talking about... The software on the phone might have gotten screwy somewhere kind of like Windows Crashing...Most service Providers do not charge for this but you want to make sure you have all your contacts written down or backed up.

Full memory Problems!

Text Messages are stored onto your SIM card and not your phone. You would have to clean out your mail box (clean out old messages in your inbox, sent messages and outbox).

White screen on Motorola RAZR

I use to work for Cingular Wireless and this happened often. Try opening and closing the handset a little forcefully. It should re-seat the screen onto the contacts. If that doesnt help, have it replaced since its new. Best of Luck.

I had this problem too. My razrs screen would just go white every 15 minutes maybe, and i would have to turn it off and back on.There was a white line at the bottom of the screen also, so i went to http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/motosupport/source/SoftwareUpdateSummary.asp?country=&language=&web_page_name=SUPPORT&strCarrierId=US%20Cellular&strPhone=V3c&strCable=Mini%20USB%20Data%20Cable and downloaded thee software update. after it was finished the white line went away the screen never went white and it fixed everything

Motorola razr v3-wont turn on

I am having a simuler problem. I bought my Razr V3 the 1st week of Dec of 2004. in less than 3 weeks I started having problems. I live in Western Okla. and Dobbson is my provider. When I bought my V3 Dobbson said that there was no insurance that I could buy to protect it but, that they use a compainy that for $35 will advance exchange a phone while the broken 1 is being fixed. The compainy sent me my new phone back 17-Jan-06. phone worked great! For about 4-6weeks that is. I called the repair compainy again and they told me that my waranty had expired. So I lived with the trouble I was having(check SIM)for almost 1 year. I found that by putting paper between the SIM card wire retainer & SIM the problem was deminished. Around the 1st of 2007 the phone started having more problems. Locking up, screen going blank (white), & turning itself off. I contacted the Dobbson and they gave me a new repair compainy to contact. I sent my Razr to them expecting to receive the phone back in working order. They received my phone on 6 Feb 07 and they sent it back on 7 feb 07 for the reason that my phone was out of warrenty. I went to motorola.com and put in my phones ID # and was told that the warrenty had expired on 2 Feb 07. Later I found out that the 1st and 2nd repair compainy were both the same compainy. The same compainy that had told me my phone was out of warrenty approximently 1 year earlyer. I have sent a letter to Motorola about this problem and that was over 2 weeks ago and havent heard anything from them (motorola). I also called the repair compainy and after not receaving any help from the lady that answered the phone so I ask to speak to the supervisor. I was transfer to the supervisors voice mail, so I left a message. And of course I have not received any communication from that supervisor eather. Don't know what else to do. Anybody haveing simuler problems? What did you do? Thanks Gregg
