Water runs continuosly on my Honeywell Envirocaire Elite system, no matter what setting I have the automatic humidity control set at, should I try replacing the Kip valve #3703?

Try to disconnect the main power to the unit and if the water valve is still open and water is running, you have a bad valve (the valve stuck open). Tap on the valve body it may help on sticking it, if not replace it.

I need the air purifier filter for a danby dhcc6020

You may be able to use filters from the stove overhead filters.Stove suppliers sell filters which can be cut to size.
The filters are usually the same as those used for air conditioners.

Should the solenoid should close and stop the water flow when no power/open circuit?

Yes, this solenoid is "Normally Closed". That means that when energized, the solenoid opens the valve to allow water to flow. Otherwise it is closed. Unfortuneately, that doesn't always happen, and there soes not seem to be a pat answer as to why. I spoke with the mfgr (Kip) and they offered plentyof "maybe's" but nothing firm.

What's worse is that I can not find any one or store that stocks or sells these, and Kip's lead time is 4-6 weeks.

I have a Honeywell humidfier HE 220A with a KIP U147112 valve. Will turning the large screw head on the valve decrease the volume of water flow through the humidifier. Too much water is being wasted.

He220a honeywell humidifier water actuator valve broke

The screw does turn and will open the valve, take the hex nut off and turn the screw to see if water leaks between the valve portion and the hexnut housing. They used that same valve on many models, including the newer models. Make sure you are getting water to the valve.

Lost the valve cap for the water tank

You can buy a replace tank cap online from Crane. As of the time of this writing, this link will take you there: http://shop.crane-usa.com/products/productdetail/part_number=EE-0865-1cap/1779.0.1.1

The cap is about $5, plus $5 shipping in the US.
