Hi Tracy, It depends what model gps and which country you live, I live in Australia and have a life time of maps for Australia and New Zealand and even though I'll probably never go to New Zealand every time I update my maps it automatically updates all. By-the-way a life time of maps is as long as my Navman keeps working... CHEERS..
i found another program for restoring the system, i have never used the product your reffering to, and i cant guarentee that this will work, but its worth a shot, and im sorry you have gotten bad advice, i found out that you may need to use this program to re install the unlock key. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/activesync-download.mspx i hope this helps! im sorry i cant assist more... only one solution really, up date your maps. Unfortunately you cannot just update maps for the UK, only Western Europe which include latest maps for UK (November, 2008) - go to 'navman.com/' the site \is 'Navman - beyond navigation' - click on 'UK' - when page comes up click on 'visit our online store' - on the left click on '2008 software and maps' - click on the SD card for Fseries - £39.95 inclusive
