I have a Ramsey winch and the connector mounted on the bumper has a broken male pin. This connector receives the remote control cable, which is female. I cannot find a three pole replacement connector for it. I was considering splicing a three prong male and female twist lock connectors to it. Would this be alright? Is there anything else I can do? There isn't any pin left to solder.

Hi buddy Was just browsing through so I read your query. I suggest u try reliable-store.comfor such problems. It's got these manuals that are amazingly helpful in all auto problems and errors, troubleshooting, breakdowns , wirings etc everything.
just make sure you get the right steel plate for your bumper to hold the winch on or it will rip your bumper off the first time you use it make sure it is bolted sucure
If the pin is hollow (as all I've seen) try a wire with a hook on the end, a very small screw or possibly a small screwdriver to be able to pull the pin out of the socket.
Ramsey website shows Badger wiring diagram for solenoid hookup etc but not plug. Shouldn't take a good DIY mech or auto electrician too long to work out which wire goes where especially if they loosen the socket it plugs into which should reveal which wires go to where on the solenoid block. Basically that's all they do, there's a supply side, a ground wire and all the hand control does is switch the supply to the solenoid for forward and reverse. From memory there's only 4 wires? Supply to hand control,1 wire to one sol, 1 wire to other sol, 1 ground wire. Supply could be red, ground is usually black, fwd / rev will be 2 other colours. Look at the socket to see match up?

Here is the site for the company. I didn't see your particular model, but their customer service department should be able to help you. http://www.ramsey.com/automotive/manuals.html
It is LIKELY that one or more pins and or wires in the remote cable are broken.
These MINI DIN connectors are "tender" and are easily broken and wires flex at the back of the connector and are broken.
FIRST check that all pins are present at BOTH ENDS of the cable.
NEXT use an ohmmeter to check continuity of each and every pin end-to-end. I suspect you will find one or more broken.
Be aware that repairing this cable requires patience and steady hand as the pins are so close together it is easy to have solder bridges, etc. Sometimes just opening the connectors are a problem to access the pins. Sometimes the cables are MOLDED and those are UNREPAIRABLE other than cutting off the bad conector and replacing it. You can usually buy replacement connectors at DIGIKEY.com and or Mouser.com. You have to CAREFULLY select the apporpriate pin configuration from the catalog page. One needs a small soldering iron and magnifying glass to work on the cable.
USUALLY the wires go from pin to pin. Also a shield on the cable has to be dressed and connected usually. You may find the shell of the connector tied to a pin or just the sheild of the cable.
your camera should have come with a cable that plugs into a usb port on the computer andplugs into something like one of these on the camera
