The coleman rechargable blender not blending

The coleman rechargable blender I purchase has been charging for two days and the charge light turns on but it does not blend and only makes a forceful sound

    My ninja 1500 is stuck on single serve only meaning I can only blend stuff in the single serve cup if I put the big blender on it the light for single serve stays on and it won't blend

Subject: Rechargeable Portable Blender Model No. 850-870


I was given one of these blenders for Christmas. I charged it through 3
cycles, used it once and the battery was dead. Charged it through another 5
charge cycles and used it once only to then have another dead battery. I
have put it through at least another 8 charge cycles, and it indicates a
DEAD battery. I have managed to blend two (2) 3/4 full pitchers in total. On
trying to start it now the green light 'flickers' quickly on and shuts down.

This is a totally useless device.

I would like to return it for a full refund, including shipping.

I have a model 442 Oxterizer and the shaft that turns the blades has totally come off of the base. Is it a possibility in getting it fixed? The motor appears to be working fine.
The blades may not be turning because the blade assembly is not fully tightened onto the blender bottle. Another reason could be that you are not putting the blender bottle and blade assembly into the blender base in the proper way. The internal rechargeable batteries may have failed.
Even when not used, the electrolyte can leak out,
weakening the Ah capacity.
If not still under warranty, see if you can remove the housing and check if cells have a white, crusty residue, which means they have leaked.
If no screws are visible, splitting the two halves of a hand-blender can be a mission - sometimes needing to squeeze one cover-side in a padded vice to release internal hooks.

More in likely a defective battery, are the connection points on the battery and charger have clean contacts?

Are you blending something hot? When you blend a hot item the steam that is released will increase the pressure in the headspace above the contents in the blender. The lid will eventually blow off to release the pressure.

To avoid this problem begin blending with no more that one cup of ingredients. Before turning the blender on, remove the center lid insert to allow venting of steam. Blend on low speed. As you blend you can add another 1 1/2 cups of additional liquid through the opening in the lid.

Suspect that the battery has died. If still under warranty, take advantage. A new battery is otherwise fairly expensive. Good luck!

I followed the link to purchase a rubber gasket for my blender. The item is $2, weighs less than an ounce, but the shipping charges are over $10 from Utah to California. Something wrong here.
I called the place.. and the lady sold me 2 Gaskets.. for $2 and only charged me $4 for shipping.. Much better rate.. We love our smoothie machine.. but when you cant find decent replacement parts.. its really dis-heartning.
