Refrigerator making roaring noise - GE Refrigerators

Was almost ready to call the repair company but took the advice here and unplugged the fridge for an hour and cleared off the caked on ice on the back vent inside the freezer. It fixed it, no more rattle.

the blinking indicates a/c didnt engage / not working the roar can be the clutch went bad or bearings went ==which more than likely will need a replacement

No they don't always do that but I have found that a roaring noise could be from the tires and not the engine.

Remove any perishable items and unplug the unit. When you get back and restart the unit if you do not notice the roaring and that roar comes back again in 2 or 3 weeks then yall have a defrost problem.
Ice building up against the fan blade. Seen it.

Could be the fan in the freezer making that noise.

3 suggestions for you, you may need to check the tire pressure, get a tire alligment done, or you have a bad wheel bearing, usally a bad wheel bearing make's a loud roaring sound going down the road. I hope I have helped you.

it could be your condenser fan..check the back, remove the cover and check the fan at the back. it could be touching something.
