I have a Singer Futura CE-150 and it keeps stopping due to "Thread break error" but the thread and bobbin seem okay what could it be?

Either upper thread is not passing through thread sensor area or sensor is broken.
Second possible reason is that if design is not optimized the sporadic speed change provides thread breakage error even if the thread is not broken physically. Make sure your software is updated to optimize it automatically (Futura main menu->Help->Live Update).

Thank you so much! This was so frustrating because I took the entire bobbin casing apart, dusted it, blew it with air, etc. and the machine still stopped every 2 stitches to tell me the thread was entangled when it wasn't.
I turned it off, reset the speed to slow then started it up again. I finally finished the embroidery. The next time, I increased the speed to test how fast I could get it to go. It seems to be working with minimal stopping since. Now, I've stopped playing with the stitch speed, especially during the embroidery. Thank you. Your information was so helpful!

Use dental floss to clean the part under the thread sensor.
Use "stocking" to maintain your thread moving slowly through the machine. Both tips worked on my SES 1000, CE-250 and SES2000. Good Luck!

Can't thread the bobbin on a singer futura CE 150

Be sure the bobbin thread is coming off from the left. There is a picture on my Futura bed that shows the correct way to insert the bobbin. If the thread is comming off from the right you will have the problem you described.

Good luck,
Beth

Bobbin/threading

Could be acouple of things. The tension on the thread or the bobbin. The needle not in all the way. Wrong type of needle for the thickness of the material. My problem was always trying to pull or push the fabric with the needle in the material - cause a bend, then the tip snags the side of the bobbin hole. Snap it's gone.

As your friend suggested, check the threading of the bobbin, the click she/he might be talking about it the first rotation of the bobbin, then being snagged by the needle thread. Good luck!

Singer Futura 350

Dear Wendy,

The E4, error message means the safety device is activated. Machine is locked up due to thread entangled with the bobbin case. Remove the needle plate and bobbin case. Check for any thread around the hook area. Also check your handwheel. It should turn freely. Good Luck

While sewing on singer quantum futura ce-200 sewing machine, thread bunchedup on underside of fabric and bobbin case flew out more than once.

Mine did this and it seemed impossible to fix. My problem was a tiny bit of thread stuck in the bobbin cover (but it could be anywhere in the thread route). I ran dental floss through the path the thread follows and also in the bobbin cover and poof out came a small piece of thread that all my looking missed. Hope this helps.

SINGER CE-150

reduce the upper tension until the thread doesn't show on top anymore. This will probably solve both problems. The problem you describe is mechanical not computer related.

Can't seem to embroider

brothers frame is much smaller I think 4 x 4. I have futura 200. found this to happen at first but now now. Make sure when threading that you floss the thread through the top part, it has plastic over it. The thread must fit properly in this part. (flossing means to run back and forth a couple of times holding thread tightly). Also, hold the 2 thread ends when you first start to embroider. Hope this helps
