Test the batteries with a multimeter that will tell you if the batteries are shot. You can do the same with the charger, test it with a multimeter but I don't recommend it unless you know what you are doing because you will be live testing it. Do the batteries charge? Are they charged? The green indicator normally is the status signal that the battery is charged and the red indicates that the battery needs charging or is charging. If you plug in a charged battery, some chargers will flash red momentarily then go out. This is an indication that the charger checked the battery (red light) and if the charge is good, the red light will go out. I hope this helps you.
YOUR PACK IS NO GOOD
IT MUST RUN WITH NO BATTERY
PACK CONNECTED

YOU KNOW PACKS CAN BE

OR WEAK, OR EVEN ON FIRE, (loL)
This is not right. They should last much longer then that. I have one of the more expensive 18V lithium batteries (the one with the button on it that tells you if it needs charging or not) and I can use mine almost all day before it needs to be recharged. I do construction work and I use my Ryobi products almost all day. Either both batteries are bad (I don't believe that is the case) or the charger is not charging them all the way to a full charge. With this charger, you do need to make sure that you remove the batteries as soon as the green light comes on. It is not good on these batteries to stay charging after they are fully charged. You also should not leave the charger plugged in without any batteries charging. Please tell me more about the charger. When you plug in the charger, does the red light come on? When you plug in a battery, does the red light stay bright and the green light blink? Does the red light go off and the green light stay on bright when you remove it from the charger? If the charger is not working correctly, then return it for a new one.
MStrong The charger will not charge batteries that are reading that low Replace the batteries and try the charger again. Remember to always charge before use and never charge longer than 12-16 hours. Get into the habit of charging overnite on scooters used everyday and once a week on seldomly used scooters always sore the scooter fully charged and if storing for a longer time remove the batteries and store fully charged. ope this helps you
If the charger is automatically giving you a green light when you plug in the charger, the batteries are most likely damaged and will no longer take a charge. This can happen when the power chair is stored and the batteries are not charged for a while. The green light on the charger indicates the battery is full, but instead of being full of power, its full of crud. Try to replace the batteries and see if that will solve the problem.
do you mean like the orange light is not light up when it were charging, correct? if so, then you need to get a new charger.
your charger is probably dead and no longer working.
if you want ,i have a brand new charger that i do not need(bec, i have few of them laid around and need to get rid of it) and will selling it for pretty cheap.
When the charger flashes red, it means that either:
A) you battery terminals are dirty, or, it's not put in the charger properly.
B) You have a bad battery.
I'm going to assume that you're putting it in the charger correctly because you have had it a long time and know how to properly insert it. The battery terminals being dirty are highly unlikely.
So this is my opinion:
The fact that your battery is a year and half old tells me right away that your battery is a gonner. Your charger flashing red tells me that it can no longer flow current to the battery. I'm sorry, but you need to purchase a new battery. Good news is that they aren't too expensive, approximately $20 usd, and you can find one on the web very easily.
Make sure you get the right battery. Whichever one you buy, make sure it fits your camera. I do know that it's a 3.7 volt np-20 battery. You want to purchase one with a high mAh number. The mAh number relates to how long it will run your camera between chargings. The higher the number, the longer it should run your camera.
Also, note, in the future, don't charge your battery for longer than 2 hours at a time. It should only take 90 minutes to fully charge it. If you charge it longer than that, it will get too hot and dramatically shorten the life of your battery!
Sorry I didn't have good news, but I wanted to make sure you were properly armed with knowledge.

i to had this problem and i know how to fix it.well if you notice when you put the charger piece in the sp the light comes on,and if you were to flick the switch on at just the right moment the sp should turn on for a sec or two. in seeing this you should push the charger in and as soon, i mean ECXACTLY the same time the light comes on it should stay on after a few trys. be patient it takes at least 15 tries for this i promise.
Turns out it was the charger. I brought both to a local electronics store to test. Though I am sure the battery will go next!
